(Fairly nice gift I would think, considering nothing was requested in return.) She then talked me into sending her 3 or 4 misc t's and polos (new and used AFD and PVFD). At this point, she promised to send four or five patches from (her) local departments. (Sort of a "this is all I can do" thank you. Fair enough. We all have hard times.) She then asked that I send her a siren and speaker for her car to help with her vol. FF duties. (I did not do this.) She then talked me into sending 8 union memorial t's to her with a sob story about no Christmas in her house. ($16o retail/ $80 out of my pocket I owe the union.) I'm sure you're thinking at this point, "DT sure is a stupid-a__!" Chalk it up to holidays for half and stupid for the other half. She explained that I would be receiving the patches promised a week before Christmas. To date I have received only two state Tenn patches from her and no money. Her emails have gone from multiple daily to 1 every week to week and half same as her postings on multiple lists. That was shortly after I, very nicely explained that I was holding off on further 'trades' with her until the memorial t-shirts were resolved. I imagine she is wearing out her welcome elsewhere. He only had 5 patches (one of which was o/s). I was to send him an RCMP Baseball cap in exchange for these patches. After MANY emails between Feb 27 and May 9/00, many accusations on his part, and threatening to tell everyone I know that I was a "bad trader", I finally received his patches. There were 4 of them... not 6 like he said he had sent. Because of all the hassles and rude emails he sent, I sent ALL 4 patches back to him, registered mail, and kept the hat.
